What We Offer
Thoughtfully designed walking experiences at Lough Boora Parklands, tailored for older adults who want to explore at a comfortable pace.
Guided Boardwalk Walks
We lead small groups along the accessible boardwalk at Lough Boora, moving at a relaxed pace with plenty of time to stop and enjoy the views. Each session lasts around 90 minutes and includes regular rest stops, so you can soak in the lakeside scenery without feeling rushed. Our guides share local knowledge about the wildlife and landscape as we go.
Sculpture Trail Experiences
Discover contemporary art installations scattered throughout the parklands with guided interpretation from our team. These walks combine gentle exploration of the trails with the cultural richness of outdoor sculpture—there's plenty of seating along the route so you can pause and reflect. Sessions focus on understanding the artists' perspectives and how the work connects to the natural setting.
Seasonal Nature Walks
Our themed walks change with the seasons, so you'll discover something new with each visit—spring birdwatching, summer wildflower exploration, autumn colour walks, and winter woodland trails. Each season brings different wildlife, plants, and experiences. Groups meet twice monthly, and we keep routes flexible based on weather and group fitness levels.
Wellness Walking Sessions
Low-impact walking designed with older adults' wellbeing in mind. We focus on gentle movement that supports cardiovascular health, joint mobility, and balance—all while enjoying the peaceful lakeside environment. Our guides are trained in supporting people with varying fitness levels, and we emphasize the mental health benefits of being outdoors with a welcoming group.
